Nerdy to Care

Nerdy to Care?

Just up in the twin cities from Wisconsin. Here there is NO SNOW and the lakes are still unfrozen. It was funny watching everyone run out to ski in Minnesota for the tiny bit of snow that was there.

When I mention global warming to people around me, usually I get blank stares or the "Isn't it wonderful???" response. It seems the only way to get any reaction is when I put it in terms of things I'm missing out on. For instance, if I say "I like to ski..." Then people may respond sympathetically. It seems it's considered 'nerdy' to care about the earth unless it's in terms of something you

personally are missing out on.

It's seems the life on earth isn't personal enough. It's frustrating!
