Domestic Windpower

80,000 homes in UK have alternative energy sources. Wind power is growing as B & Q now offer a unit for £1499 plus installation and others are cheaper.

The UK has 60% of European wind energy but domestic windpower generation has many disadvantages.

It is currently rather too noisy and unsightly to be popular.

These pages will record the progress being made to overcome these problems in UK and elsewhere so that domestic windpower may play its part in meeting global energy needs.

I did read that the motor from an old battery powered B&D flymower could be used to make a DC wind generator. Anyone been down this route?
