Desperate Search for Fossil Fuels

It is becoming clear in 2012 that our fate may be sealed by the desperate attempts to extract fossil fuels from more remote or dangerous locations.

It has long been clear that the cost and energy for extracting each barrel of oil is increasing and so extraction alone is increasing carbon emissions.
