Offshore wind power set to boom?

In this edition of the GreenRoles.co.uk eNews we discuss the

burgeoning wind power sector.

Wind energy is set to play a major role in the European Union's plans

if it is to achieve it's target of sourcing 20% of all energy

consumption from renewable sources by 2020. Even though some progress

towards this target has been made, the potential for wind energy as a

source of clean energy for the European market remains huge. The EU

reports that over 40% of all new energy to come on line on the

European grid in 2007 came from wind power. This expansion has

created a strong demand for skilled professionals in the wind energy

sector.

In 1982 funding support was withdrawn allthough a number of machines

had been sold and the company was in profit. One machine is still

operating in Scotland,

The application was heating, still very viable but see the URL above for

other ideas, any offers of help to re-develop using an axial flux

alternator very welcome. Concept covered by patent application
